This recipe makes a simple, delicious Thai tea bun.
1 cup of Thai green tea 1 cup coconut milk 1 cup hot sauce (like red curry paste) 1 tablespoon coconut oil 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 teaspoon soy sauce 1 tablespoon honey 1 teaspoon sugar 1/2 cup honey 1/4 cup coconut oil Instructions Put the Thai green and coconut milk in a medium pot over medium heat.
Stir constantly and cook, stirring constantly, until the milk starts to boil, about 8 minutes.
Remove from heat and set aside.
Combine the soy sauce, coconut oil, brown sugar, honey, and sugar in a bowl.
Whisk in the hot sauce and coconut oil.
Add the coconut milk mixture and stir until smooth.
You should have a very thick, milky, coconut milk that is almost creamy.
Add 1/3 cup of honey to taste and stir.
Taste and add more if needed.
Taste the mixture and add salt to taste.
